The Lakewood Fire District's auction sale of this 2005 Spartan/Marion Firetruck has ended at $106,500.00 plus a 12.5% buyer's premium of $13,312.50 for a total of $119,812.50.
According to the Govdeals online listing, "it runs, drives, and operates as it should. Ladders, suction hoses, and pike poles as pictured come with the unit. The pump was tested in October 2022."
The truck has run 22842 miles, 1786 hours.
In response to a question from a prospective bidder, who questioned if the vehicle was ever exposed to flood damage and why the town is getting rid of this low mileage apparatus, fire officials advised that "this unit has never been exposed to flood damage. We are standardizing our fleet to be uniform across all companies."
Opening bid was just $35,000.
The truck being sold was replaced by a 2021 Pierce Pumper which the Fire District purchased in 2020 for a price of $627,412.55.
