FIRST REPORT: MENASHE MILLER IS OUT OF THE COUNTY COMMISSIONER ELECTION RACE

After previously announcing a possible run for membership on the Ocean County Board of Commissioners, Lakewood Deputy Mayor Menashe Miller has now officially dropped out of the race, FAA News has learned.

According to an earlier report by Lakewood News Network, Miller collected ballots from the County last month, the first step towards soliciting signatures from supporters, saying that if he were to win, he would be in a position to effect badly needed change in a number of desperate areas in Lakewood, including widening roads, installing traffic lights and upgrading county parks. 

Miller was also running to give voters an alternative to voting for Frank Sadeghi who is favored by Ocean County GOP Chairman George Gillmore.

At this point, however, Miller is officially out of the race, FAA News has learned. Had he continued in the race and won, he would have needed to resign from Township Committee. By dropping out of the County race, Miller will be able to continue his 19 years of experience and service to Lakewood in his capacity of member of the Township Committee of Lakewood.
