TRAFFIC ALERT: POWER LINE VEGETATION MANAGEMENT SEASON TO BEGIN IN LAKEWOOD & JACKSON

The season for vegetation management along the powerline right of ways is set to begin this very week.

Vegetation management along powerline right of ways requires travel lane closures. In past years in Lakewood these closures often began during the morning peak traffic hours, with Township officials only enforcing "no lane closures before 10am" once numerous residents complained. At that point, Township officials responded by saying they had "no idea" about this road work.

So... right here on FAA News is their official notice!

Aspen Tree Expert Company Inc (which is owned by the Jackson political Chisholm family) will be doing this work as contractors for JCP&L.

The vegetation management along the powerline right of ways will take place from June 1, 2023 until September 15, 2023 in Jackson, Howell, Freehold Twp, Farmingdale, Cookstown, Cream Ridge, Lakewood, Plumstead, Manalapan, Hightstown, Red Bank, Old Bridge, Marlboro, Shrewsbury, Eatontown, Pemberton, Sayreville, Colts Neck and Tinton Falls.

All applications will be done by 4 wheel drive vehicles with sprayers. Certain herbicides may be used during the course of the program.
