YESHIVA NEFESH HACHAIM PURCHASES SITE IN JACKSON NEAR ROYAL GROVE WHERE DORMITORIES ARE TO BE PERMITTED

Yeshiva Nefesh Hachaim has recently closed on a purchase of 49 Grand Boulevard, just outside Royal Grove, FAA News has learned.

The yeshiva purchased the 5.87 acres lot for $2.2 million. The sellers are Vincent and Joyce Demuro.

The Yeshiva, which was established 15 years ago, is currently located on Drake Road in Lakewood. The Rosh Yeshiva is Rav Mordechai Hirth.

The new lot is located in Jackson Township's RG-2 zoning district which currently permits public and quasi-public schools and institutions of higher learning which are not conducted as a business, other public buildings of a governmental or cultural nature, and other similarly situated assembly or institution uses.

Under the terms of Jackson Township's settlement agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice, this zone will also permit religious schools with dormitories.

Public records obtained by FAA News indicate that the current sellers previously purchased the property in 1988 for $115,000.

Nefesh Hachaim's new property is just down the road from Royal Grove, The Vineyard, and Bais Yaakov of Jackson's recently approved Site Plan application.

This lot is practically between the shul and the future women's Mikvah building.

I hope the Yeshiva installs an appropriate fence for their bochurim dormitory...
