The Lakewood Board of Fire Commissioners on Monday night approved spending $723,457.76 or $873,457.76 if needed, on site and building improvements and repairs.
Vice Chairman Larry Loigman stated that the expenditure will be funded solely using excess funds left over from completed capital projects, with no impact to the tax rate (i.e. no new taxes will be raised this year to pay for this project).
