BREAKING NEWS: JACKSON COUNCIL MEMBER MARTIN FLEMMING RESIGNS AFTER MOVING OUT OF TOWN

Jackson Township Council Member Martin Flemming tonight fully resigned from the Council, citing his move out of town. The resignation is effective immediately.

As previously reported here on FAA News, back in June 2023, after selling his home, Flemming resigned from his post as Council President.

Up until now he remained a regular member of the Council. This was legally permitted a he remained a resident, renting the home which he just sold.

Following his earlier resignation as Council President, resident Sheldon Hoffstein told him, "if you are going to be leaving the Council soon, it's a little inappropriate to still be making decisions why affect 58,000 Township residents. You should therefore consider leave sooner rather than later, as if you do resign soon I'm sure everyone here will thank you for your service."

Indeed, as previously reported here on FAA News, just last night, as the Council representative of the Planning Board, Flemming voted on a major decision which will affect all Township residents for years to come.
