At their upcoming monthly meeting tonight, Lakewood's Township Committee is set to authorize spending for several renovations and new vehicles and radar equipment for the police department, as well as a patch truck for our roads.
Resolution 2023-0370 authorizes spending $24,194.65 for the renovation of the Police Department’s break room. This amount provides for the items and installation needed for this renovation.
The contract vendor is Groupe Lacasse LLC of Quebec, Canada. They are a New Jersey State-contracted vendor.
Resolution 2023-0372 authorizes spending $289,408 to purchase 7 Ford Interceptor vehicles for the police department.
The contract vendor is Nielsen Ford of Morristown, New Jersey. They are an authorized vendor under the State of New Jersey Cooperative Purchasing Program.
Resolution 2023-0373 authorizes spending $28,130 for radar equipment for the police department.
The contract vendor is Stalker Radar Applied Concepts Inc. of Richardson, Texas. They are an authorized vendor under the State of New Jersey Cooperative Purchasing Program.
Resolution 2023-0376 authorizes spending $23,300 for jail cell renovations.
The contract vendor is Shore Security Technologies, LLC of Toms River.
Resolution 2023-0387 authorizes spending $27,998.64 for storage unit renovations for the Township.
The contract vendor is Carport Central of Mountain Airy, North Carolina.
Resolution 2023-0371 authorizes spending $303,067 for a patch truck for our roads. This vehicle will replace an existing truck which has reached the end of its life.
The contract vendor is Bergkamp Inc. of Salina, Kansas. This contract is being procured through the Houston Galveston Area Council (HGAC) Cooperative, a National Cooperative vendor.
The total amount of these expenditures is $696,098.29.
