LAKEWOOD SHOPPING CENTER SOLD FOR $4.4 MILLION




The shopping center located at 1000 Route 70 in Lakewood has just been sold for $4.4 million, FAA News has learned.


The shopping center, which is located adjacent to the Leisure Village entrance way, currently contains Jersey Shore Veterinary Emergency Service, Liquorama, Charlie's Pizza & Restaurant, and other stores.


The seller is 1000 Route 70 LLC, which is managed by Barbara Bonsangue.


The buyer is 1000 Route 70 KV LLC, which appears to be registered to Maurice Rosenberg and Joseph Kaufman, with addresses in both Lakewood and Brooklyn.


The sale price is $4.4 million. The lot area is 4.43 acres. Annual property taxes in 2023 was $103,798.51.


No Site Plan has yet been submitted to the Township's land use boards for any redevelopment of the property.


The parcel is located in the Township's B-5 zoning district, which permits retail stores, restaurants, office buildings, indoor theaters, assembly halls, bowling alleys and similar public recreational uses, motels and hotels, new motor vehicle salesrooms, retail or wholesale business distribution facilities, research and testing laboratories, places of worship, public and private schools.


Also permitted in this zone as conditional uses are shopping centers, congregate or assisted living and nursing care, commercial office parks, age-restricted multifamily housing, which may include two family and duplex housing, mixed-use mid-rise development, mixed-use townhouse development, mixed-use multifamily development, mixed-use development.
