LAKEWOOD TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE TO SPEND NEARLY $1 MILLION ON RENOVATIONS TO THE LAKE DOCKS

There are two docks at North Lake Park, both of which are owned by the Township of Lakewood. One dock is used for the OEM Water and Ice Rescue Team. The second dock is leased to a private row boat operator.

These two Township-owned docks are now set to receive some renovations - at a cost of $984,532.10.

The Township Committee is set today to award the contract to EZ Dock of Belford, New Jersey.

The contract is being procured through Sourcewell, a National Cooperative vendor. EZ Dock is the awardee of a Sourcewell contract.

Spending a million dollars and then renting it out for a few cents. Sounds like another strand deal. How about spend the money on something everybody can enjoy.

Ah!
Anybody remember when we had to avoid that area of the lake because of the swimming that was there? Yes, Lakewood once had a clean lake!
