DOES LAKEWOOD MAYOR COLES HAVE DEMENTIA OR A PINOCCHIO NOSE?

National media has focused on President Joe Biden's dementia symptoms.

From watching Thursday night's Lakewood Township Committee meeting curious minds wonder if Mayor Ray Coles is also showing dementia symptoms - or if perhaps he is growing a Pinocchio nose.

The Township Committee introduced Ordinance 2024-034 which will create and adopt standards for a School Overlay Zone.

As fully explained here on FAA News, the Ordinance will permit dormitories and 65 feet high residential apartment buildings on a portion of Cross Street and adjoining roads where they are currently not permitted.

The Ordinance also reduces the required minimum pavement width from 32 feet to 30 feet.

The Ordinance purports to include a requirement for traffic improvements.

Sort of.

Well... here is a verbatim quote from the proposed Ordinance:

To achieve the goals of the School Overlay Zone, it is critical that development of the infrastructure to support same occurs in a unified manner. Piecemeal development of same is discouraged.

Street Development. The School Overlay Zone shall be developed with multiple north-south streets, including Franklin Boulevard and Newport Road, to provide adequate and safe access by vehicles to the proposed schools and residences.

Wondering what exactly all that promises us?

You're not alone.

Numerous members of the public submitted questions and concerns via email to the Township Committee.

The questions included seeking clarification as to what roadway improvements were proposed, exactly how many apartments would be permitted in the 65 feet high buildings, and why the minimum pavement width was being reduced.

Shockingly, Mayor Coles responded "this Ordinance does not change at all what uses are permitted in the zone. All this Ordinance does is lay out requirements for all developers in this area to share the costs of the infrastructure."

Huh?

Does Mayor Ray Coles have dementia symptoms - or just a Pinocchio nose?

The Committee will hold a public hearing and vote on final reading on the Ordinance on September 12. The Planning Board will hold a Master Plan consistency review on the Ordinance prior to that date.

He is a clueless liar per usual. He is still a Vaad dummy and he's their goiy that they use to push through all of their dirty stuff they need for their people. He is 1 of the main enablers of the smoke filled back room deals which is how all in this town gets done. This article just illustrated once again that he is clueless and the corrupt who are really in charge use his name to push through their corrupt agenda.

When will Lakewood residents wake up and understand that The group who are officially in charge of this town are corrupt and are destroying the different neighborhoods and killing traffic all around town with the insane amount of houses now being allowed to be built compared to 7 years ago on an acre. These bums need to be removed. Big time pay for play. It stinks and needs to end already before we have no town left.

It's public record online who donated to the Mayor's campaign and the other committee members. Look at the names there and look what these individuals get approved to do in this town, and what they get to build for themselves while destroying this town.

It stinks badly, we need change. Time for these bums to retire!

The entire town is a joke and as far as cross street goes it is unrecognizeable. What part do the people of Lakewood do not understand.Sorry there is no more room at the Inn and no means no.Its simple math you just need to grow a pair to enforce it.

Most towns have 45% against 55% in the voting. Lakewood is the exception with about 99% voted for Mayor Coles. Is this the "block" vote at work. If it is, Mayor Coles has total job security as long as he keeps the "block" vote happy. This block vote can also influence assembly, state senate and ocean county elections.

Is this kind of behavior going to spread to the "Lakewood Loop" towns? Jackson has been bought and sold for sure. What else is next?
