DOES LAKEWOOD MAYOR COLES HAVE DEMENTIA OR A PINOCCHIO NOSE?

National media has focused the last number of months on President Joe Biden's dementia symptoms.

From watching Thursday night's Lakewood Township Committee meeting curious minds wonder if Mayor Ray Coles is also showing dementia symptoms - or if perhaps he is growing a Pinocchio nose.

Back in 2017, the Township Committee adopted their last Master Plan, which increased the permitted density, but with a contingency that no new zoning changes would go into effect until certain road improvements are completed.

The developers of the Eagle Ridge Golf Course filed a lawsuit seeking to void the roadway improvements contingency. The trial court granted summary judgment in favor of the developers. That ruling was subsequently affirmed by the Appellate Division.

Subsequently, in March 2021 the Township Committee introduced an ordinance which was going to add a whole bunch of new permitted uses in the Cedarbridge Corporate Campus. The Planning Board recommended that Pine Street be widened first, before any zone changes take effect.

At the time, Mayor Coles told the Planning Board that they don't want to stipulate to off-site road improvements because of their previously loss in court over that matter.

As previously reported here on FAA News, the Township Committee tonight adopted an ordinance which permits for additional schools, banquet hall, dormitories and residential apartment buildings off Cross Street.

Town officials cheerfully assured everyone that no new approvals will be heard until work commences on installation of sewer and water infrastructure and for 3 means of egress (e.g., Franklin, Newport and Maplehurst or Brush) from the School Overlay Zone. Additionally, no Temporary Certificate of Occupancy nor Certificate of Occupancy resulting from a new application will be granted until this work is completed.

At the public hearing prior to adoption of the new ordinance, Attorney Vincent DelRiccio reminded the Committee that they previously lost their roadway improvements contingency in court, so they can't be sure that we won't get stuck here with apartment buildings and no new roads.

Another member of the public added that back in April 2021, the Committee rejected the Planning Board's recommendation for a road improvements contingency regarding the Cedarbridge Corporate Campus for this very reason.

Mayor Coles responded, "hmm... I don't remember anything about that."

Well... here is the video from 2021:

Mayor Coles has hardly ever said the truth. The lying usually starts the moment he opens up his mouth. I have heard him say things he would do or implement over the years, but has almost never did what he said he would do. He's the poster child for term limits, so the public isn't stuck with the same old trash, and can move on. He's definitely passed his shelf life, and needs to be removed from that office.

I would say he is just a piece of ____ who doesn’t care about the people in Lakewood.

It's time for you to pack it in Mayor Coles and that goes for anyone else in the township.Go enjoy your retirement or do what ever else you do. Lakewood is like the circus and the clowns have no clue what to do but their only objective is just to make you laugh. The township of Lakewood was distoryed 15 or more years ago.Does not matter anymore the damage was done and it just gets worst and worst.Everyone needs to take drive down Cross Street during the daytime hours. It's like your wating to enter the Lincoln or Holland tunnel. One big JOKE......
