GOTTHEIMER CHAMPIONS LGBT RIGHTS IN CONGRESS

Rep. Josh Gottheimer - a Democrat candidate for New Jersey governor whose campaign has been endorsed by the establishment leaders - has consistently aligned himself with LGBT advocacy groups, supporting legislation that expands protections based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

Gottheimer voted for the Equality Act and has co-sponsored multiple bills promoting what he describes as "full LGBTQ+ rights." He has also spoken at events celebrating Pride Month and condemned what he termed "efforts to roll back LGBTQ+ protections."

"Discrimination has no place in our country, and I will continue to stand with the LGBTQ+ community in the fight for equality," Gottheimer said in a recent speech on the House floor.

Primary election day is Tuesday June 9.
