EPIC RESULTS: JACKSON VOTES RESOUNDLY FOR A CHANGE IN PACE

Chris Pollak, an activist, an outspoken critic at Council meetings, is projected to beat Al Couceiro in his bid for a seat on the Jackson Township Council, FAA News reports.

With 34/34 districts reporting, Pollak is leading 12,845 to Couceiro's 7,823.

It's a major upset to Council President Mordecai Burnstein who strongly backed Couceiro and concerted efforts to smear Pollak.

Chris first got involved involved writing political articles about Jackson Township politics and once it started getting attention and the ire of the establishment, his personal Facebook account was banned.

"What we’re seeing is the weaponization of government against me and those that support me. We have a tax payer funded news source attacking, smearing, and lying about me while writing fluff pieces about the council. The council using meeting and a government platform to attack and lie about me," Pollak told FAA News when he launched his campaign.

"This movement isn’t about one man. It’s about an entire community that’s tired of being used, ignored, and lied to. They see the smear campaigns. They see the manipulation. They see the desperation. The establishment has already lost what you were trying to protect: their credibility," Pollak posted today on his Facebook page.

"And no matter how much money or influence you think you have, the truth will always win in the end," Pollak added.

Post-win statement from Elliott Shem-Tov, Team Pollak Campaign Manager:

I would like to Thank everyone on our team that made it possible to get Chris Pollak over the finish line.

The establishment was relentless and at times unfair, but we persevered. The question is how did we win by a landslide…..I’ll tell you, WE SHOWED UP and created a mandate and a movement.

Now we shift from campaigning to governing. It’s time to get Jackson on the right path and make Jackson the best it can be.

This Win is for you Jackson!!!!!

With love

-Elliott Shem-Tov
