ANSHEY ASHKENAZ CLOSES ON PURCHASE OF PROPERTY FOR SHUL IN JACKSON

Congregation Anshey Ashkenaz Zichron Bgty Inc has just closed on the purchase of a property for their shul, FAA News has learned.

The new property is located in Jackson at 263 West Veterans Highway, right in front of Walter Drive, and just down the road from Leesville Road.

The site contains an existing single family structure on a 1.03 acres lot. Construction of a shul on this single lot would require Conditional Use Variance relief from Jackson Township's Zoning Board as Houses of Worship are permitted as a conditional use on a minimum of 2 acres.

The shul purchased the property for $425,000. The sellers are Kevin Moore and Kathleen Sevcenko. The home was owned by his parents Arthur Moore and Rose Marie Moore. They lived in the home since 1953, until their passing in 1999 and 2022, respectively, public records obtained by FAA News indicate.

Annual property taxes for 2022 were $6,413.52.

The sale was under contract for approximately one month.

The document recording was coordinated by Wellington Abstract of Toms River.

As depicted in the map below, the property is a few minutes drive away from the site on which, as previously reported here on FAA News, Bais Yaakov of Jackson recently received Site Plan approval from the Township's Planning Board, and from where, as first reported here on FAA News, Congregation Supporters of Torah recently purchased land, and from where, as previously reported here on FAA News, Yeshiva Nefesh Hachaim recently purchased land for a Yeshiva and dormitory.
