Rabbi Avi Schnall's election campaign sure is playing by its own rules.
Many Lakewood residents tonight received election campaign texts which say they are from Rabbi Avi Schnall.
It sure is questionable how he received all of our phone numbers.
However, there is a bigger issue at hand.
FCC regulations prohibit auto-dialed political campaign-related text messages to be sent without the called party's prior express consent.
According to FCC regulations, if you think you've received a political robocall or text that does not comply with the FCC’s rules, you can file an informal complaint with the FCC at fcc.gov/complaints. If you are receiving texts that you didn’t ask for, you can report the sender by forwarding the texts to 7726 (or "SPAM").

Why did he do this at this hour? Its not right to spam our phones and at night
I believe that charities and political campaigns are exempt

The FCC website says that political campaigns are very much NOT exempt
