DUE TO ANTICIPATED LARGE CROWDS, JACKSON COUNCIL TO MOVE MEETING TO HIGH SCHOOL

Jackson's Township Council scheduled a special meeting for last week for the purposes of adopting the U.S. Justice Department settlement agreement ordinances.

A large crowd of interested members of the public came out to the meeting, leading Township officials to worry about fire safety. At the recommendation of the Fire Marshall, the Council adjourned the meeting, saying it would be rescheduled to be held in a larger venue.

The Council has now announced that the new meeting will be held this Tuesday, December 12, 2023 in the auditorium of Jackson Liberty High School, 125 North Hope Chapel Road, Jackson, NJ 08527.

The meeting is set to begin at 6:00pm.

If required, the Township Council may convene an Executive Session during or upon conclusion of the public meeting.
