PROPERTY OWNED FOR DECADES BY THEIBAULT FAMILY CHANGES HANDS IN $1.2 MILLION SALE

Property which has been owned by the Theibault family since 1963 has just been sold for development, FAA News has learned.

The parcel is Block 190 Lot 66.01, located at 1253 Ridge Avenue. It is 1.06 acres in area.

The buyer is Eliezer Jeremias of Tuscany Terrace. The sale price is $1,212,000.

The property's assessed value is $568,200. Annual property taxes in 2023 were $13,432.25.

No specific Site Plan application has yet been submitted to Lakewood's land use boards.

The sellers are Craig and Gina Theibault. Craig Theibault is very politically connected in Lakewood. For many years he has been the guy who runs the show at the Shade Tree Commission. He is also a paid member of the Lakewood Township Municipal Utilities Authority, and The Strand. For 20 years he was the President of Lakewood's Republican Club.

He was also Chairman of the Ocean County Shade Tree Commission for 20 years, and a Member of the New Jersey Community Forestry Council for 13 years.

As previously reported here on FAA News, Mr. Theibault owns additional property nearby. He had one little problem selling that property. Luckily, his friends on Lakewood's Township Committee were more than willing to help out - at $0 consideration (hey, "what's to it when there's a friend in need!")

That property, located at 1245 & 1249 Ridge Avenue, is still under contract to be sold to Cheder Etz Chaim.
