As the news was broken here on FAA News, ìn quite a shocking development, following their previous denials of Yanky Lipshitz's Chestnut Holdings application, the Lakewood Planning Board has decided to change their last vote to an approval of the application.
The Board previously stated that they had a sudden change of heart because "the application is fully conforming." However, this stands heavily in contrast to testimony provided by area resident Aaron Hirsch that in fact, the application requires a density variance and therefore the Planning Board doesn't even have jurisdiction to hear the application.
Following exposure of the scandalous "sudden change of heart" here on FAA News, numerous neighbors rushed out to the Board’s public hearing to urge the Board to hold strong and not change their vote.
Ultimately, the Board adjourned the matter due to lack of a quorum for this specific application - however, only after keeping all the neighbors waiting for over an hour!
The board members didn't bother to explain why they didn't adjourn the matter any earlier.
