PUBLIC COMMENTS WELCOME: LAKEWOOD FIRE COMMISSIONERS TO SPEND $700K ON SITE & BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS & REPAIRS



The Lakewood Board of Fire Commissioners is planning to spend $723,457.76 or $873,457.76 if needed, on site and building improvements and repairs, FAA News has learned.


The Board intends to discuss and authorize this spending at their next regular monthly meeting on Monday, September 11, 2023.


The expenditure will be funded solely using excess funds left over from completed capital projects, with no impact to the tax rate (i.e. no new taxes will be raised this year to be pay for this project).


The Board's meeting will take place on Monday, September 11, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. in the meeting room at 733 Cedar Bridge Avenue, Lakewood, New Jersey.


The public shall be afforded an opportunity to participate prior to any action being taken.


The Board will receive written comments from the public through noon on September 11, 2023. All written comments shall be forwarded to: Board of Fire Commissioners, Fire District No. 1, Township of
Lakewood, 733 Cedar Bridge Avenue, Lakewood, New Jersey 08701, Attn: Yehuda Beer, Fire District Administrator.
