FIRST REPORT: HATZOLAH GARAGE AND MIKVAH PROJECT IN JACKSON RECEIVES INITIAL APPROVAL

Congregation Khal Lev Simcha has just received initial Ocean County Planning Board approval for a mikvah building and a Hatzolah garage just outside Royal Grove in Jackson Township, FAA News has learned.

The site plan depicts the demolition of an existing single family residence at the intersection of East Veterans Highway and Grand Boulevard. In its place, a 11,000 sq foot mikvah building and 1,600 sq foot Hatzolah garage will be constructed.

The 2-story mikvah building will include an apartment for the caretaker.

A total of 23 parking spaces will be provided. The driveway will be fully accessible to and from Grand Boulevard, with an additional entrance from East Veterans Highway.

The County's contingent approval requires that the Congregation dedicate some right of way for road widening. The half width of East Veterans Highway will be 43' from centerline. This will permit for a deceleration lane into the new driveway.

Township Zoning Board approval will also be necessary to turn this project into a reality. An application has just been submitted. No public hearing date has yet been scheduled.

The water line requires State approval. An application for water permits was submitted to the state a few months ago.
