The Jackson Township Council today just admitted live on camera that they previously sold us a whole bunch of fewy baloney.
The baloney in question was purposely designed to boost support for the incumbents at the recent election ballot, a FAA News investigative report reveals.
The Council previously voted to enact an ordinance to modify the Township's Highway Commercial Mixed-Use Zone (HCMU) zone.
At the time, Council President Jennifer Kuhn explained that the Adventure Crossing development already has approvals for 460 residential units as well as numerous commercial uses including hotels and medical and educational components; the property is now being marketed for sale as "perfect for 1,200 residential units," and the Council wanted to ensure that the promised commercial uses aren't changed into more residential apartments, thus the new Ordinance was created.
This massive move on the part on the Council was heavily touted in their recent reelection campaign as indicative that they are "anti over-development."
Today, the Council quietly conceded that Adventure Crossing already submitted their new plans to convert their promised hotels and medical and educational components into 1,200 residential units prior to the Council's bold introduction of their "anti over-development" ordinance, and therefore their plan for 1,200 residential units is "protected."
Ha!
Their bogus reelection campaign slogans just went down the filthy drain.
Of course, the Council was careful not to admit this key part of the story until now - after they already won reelection based on their bogus slogans.

Did they really go "down the drain?" Perhaps לכבוד החג they should be going up the chimney😂
Vito is a goooood friend of the Mayor. Friends with benefits.
If your article is correct, why would the developer threaten to sue and why would they create such an ordinance?! (You are missing a piece of the puzzle and spreading misinformation)
I never believed that the over development ordinance would go through. The ordinance was just to mislead the public for the election.
When did the council "quietly concede" plans to convert medical buildings into 1,200 residential units?
